Arriving by Air

Los Angeles World Airport (LAX)

LAX Airport

The Los Angeles World Airport (LAX) is 21.7 miles or a 25 minute drive to the Queen Mary. Follow the airport exit signs to West Century Blvd. Turn right on South La Cienega Blvd., then turn left to merge onto I-405 South. Take the I-405 South, then the I-710 South. Follow the signs for THE QUEEN MARY.

Transportation from Los Angeles International Airport to The Queen Mary:

  • From any terminal at LAX, go downstairs to the LAX Shuttle stop and take Line G (free shuttle) to the Aviation Station of the Green Line of the Metro Rail Service to the Willowbrook staion where you need to transfer to the Blue Line of the Metro Rail Service. Take the Blue Line to the Long Beach Transit Mall, then take the free Long Beach Transit Passport bus to the Queen Mary. (Los Angeles Metro Rail Service time tables.)
  • Take Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle. For a shared van ride, expect rates of around $30 for the first passenger and around $9 for additional passengers.
  • Take a taxi from Los Angeles International Airport. Expect rates of around $80.
  • Take a Über or Lyft from Los Angeles International Airport. Costs vary.

John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA)

John Wayne Airport

The John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA) is 31 miles or 39 minute drive to the Queen Mary. Follow the airport exit signs to get onto the I-405 North then take the I-710 South. Follow the signs for THE QUEEN MARY.

Transportation from John Wayne Airport/Orange County Airport to The Queen Mary:

  • Take Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle. For a shared van ride, expect rates of around $37 for the first passenger and around $9 for additional passengers.
  • Take a Über or Lyft from Los Angeles International Airport. Costs vary.

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

The Long Beach Airport (LGB) is only 11 miles or a 15 minute drive from the Queen Mary. Follow the airport exit signs to Lakewood Blvd. Take Lakewood Blvd. south towards I-405. Take the I-405 North to the I-710 South. Follow the signs for THE QUEEN MARY.

Transportation from Long Beach Airport to The Queen Mary:

  • Take the Long Beach Transit system Broadway/Lakewood from the Long Beach Airport to the Long Beach Transit Mall, then take the free Long Beach Transit Passport bus to the Queen Mary.
  • Take Super Shuttle or Prime Time Shuttle. For a shared van ride, expect rates of around $20 for the first passenger and around $9 for additional passengers.
  • Take a taxi from Long Beach Airport. Expect rates of around $30.

Arriving by Train

Amtrak

AMTRAK

All Amtrak trains serving Los Angeles arrive at Union Station, however there isn’t a train that serves the port directly where The Queen Mary is docked.

Amtrak includes the bus fare from LAX to LBC with the purchase of a train ticket. To get from the train station to The Queen Mary using the bus system:

  • From the LAX – Union Station, get on the Metro Red Line (802) towards 802 – North Hollywood Station.
  • Get off at 7th Street / Metro Center Station
  • Take Metro Blue Line (801)towards 801 – Downtown Long Beach Station
  • Get off at the Downtown Long Beach Station
  • walk to Ocean & Pine SW Temp Stop (about a block)
  • At Pine Ave South to Queen Mary, pick up the free Passport shuttle. (Make sure to ask if the shuttle is going to the Queen Mary.)
  • At The Queen Mary stop, cross the parking lot and check-in at The Queen Mary.

If arriving after sunset, please use a taxi, Über, or Lyft to take you directly to The Queen Mary.

Getting Around Long Beach

Passport Bus (free)

Passport Bus

Please take advantage of the Long Beach community! A short walk from the entrance of The Queen Mary is a stop for the Passport, a free bus that connects you to downtown Long Beach’s attractions and destinations including Aquarium of the Pacific, Pine Avenue, City Place Mall, The Pike at Rainbow Harbor, Convention Center, Shoreline Village, and Long Beach Transit’s water taxis, the AquaLinkand AquaBus.

When using Passport make a note of where you get dropped off (see map). And when returning to The Queen Mary, ask the driver if it is the bus is heading back to The Queen Mary as the Passport bus is visually similar to other busses in the LA transit system.

Passport busses arrive every 10 minutes.
